چکیده

Objective: To investigate the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2), metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9), and transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF 1) in kidney tissue rats with pyelonephritis their relationship by establishing a rat model acute pyelonephritis. Methods: 80 male Wistar were randomly divided into control group an experimental group, 40 each. The injected saline those 10 ?g/mL Escherichia coli (E. coli) (1:100); solutions for both groups administered every 3 days 7 days. expressions MMP-2, MMP-9 TGF tissues each observed. Results: 1in was significantly higher than (P < 0.01); mRNA content that 0.05); renal increased compared to began express early stage until complete formation pelvic edema. difference between statistically significant 0.01). Conclusion: are important factors regulating tubular epithelial cell injury inflammatory response.

Expression of Matrix Metalloproteinase-2 and -9 in Meningioma

Background: Meningioma is one of the most common tumors of the central nervous system. It was shown that meningioma had up-regulated expression of Matrix Metalloproteinases (MMPs) that involved in cell growth, angiogenesis and metastasis.  Objectives: The aim of the study was the assessment of serum MMP-2 and -9 levels in patients with different grades of meningioma.  Materials & Me...

Sequential activation of matrix metalloproteinase 9 and transforming growth factor beta in arterial elastocalcinosis.

OBJECTIVE Isolated systolic hypertension is associated with increased elastase activity, vascular calcification, and vascular stiffness. We sought to determine the importance of elastase activity and matrix degradation in the development of elastocalcinosis. METHODS AND RESULTS Elastocalcinosis was induced in vivo and ex vivo using warfarin. Hemodynamic parameters, calcium deposition, elastin...

Gene Polymorphism of Matrix Metalloproteinase 9 in Asthenozoospermic Male Subjects

Objective Matrix Metalloproteinase (MMPs) play important roles in the structural and functional properties of reproductive organs. The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of C-1562T Matrix Metalloproteinase-9 (rs3918242) gene polymorphism in fertile and infertile men. In addition, we aimed to determine the association between C-1562T MMP-9 and G-1575A MMP-2 gene polymorphisms. Mate...
